Virtual Edition
In lieu of our regular Meet the Fleet event, this year, we will be offering a virtual experience! With help from the MV Film Festival, we are producing four short films profiling individual island fishermen. These films will be released one at a time throughout August and September, by email to all of our supporters. Through this virtual platform, the community will be able to truly ‘meet the fleet’.

2019 Fluke for Luke Derby: July 6th and 7th
In 2016 the island lost Luke Gurney, an incredible husband, father, friend, and commercial fisherman. We were honored to have Luke on our Board at the MVFPT and miss him every day.

The Fluke for Luke fishing tournament was created by Luke's friends and family to celebrate Luke's love of fishing and to support college education for his sons.
​
Register at Dick's or Coop's tackle shops. Fee: $30, which all goes to a trust for Luke's son's college education.
Come celebrate and support our commercial fishermen and working waterfronts at our 5th annual Meet the Fleet festival! This event is free and takes place on the commercial dock in Menemsha, MA.

Activites include: Tours on the historic fishing vessel, Roann; Tours on Environmental and Coast Guard vessels; Net mending and sea scallop shucking competitions; Music by Goodnight Louise; Crab races and touch tanks for kids; Fish printing; Silent auction; Raffle, and more!
